Mechanical Supervisor
Location: Lincolnshire (Regional – Social Housing)
Contract: Permanent | Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 per annum + benefits

We are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee heating system works across Lincolnshire, including Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) installations, within a social housing environment.

The Role
You will supervise, coordinate and support mechanical installation activities across multiple sites, ensuring consistent standards, strong safety culture and excellent customer outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Supervising and coordinating mechanical works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and health & safety requirements
  • Planning and allocating work to operatives and subcontractors, monitoring progress and resolving delivery issues
  • Carrying out quality inspections to ensure systems meet required standards and client expectations
  • Liaising with Project Managers, Site Managers and other discipline supervisors to coordinate multi-trade activities
  • Supporting testing, commissioning and handover processes, ensuring accurate documentation is completed
  • Identifying and escalating design or technical issues for resolution
  • Ensuring works are carried out in line with method statements, risk assessments and permit-to-work systems
  • Providing guidance, mentoring and support to apprentices and junior engineers
  • Promoting and maintaining a strong HSEQ culture across all sites
About You
You’ll be a hands-on supervisor with strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills and experience delivering mechanical works in live environments.
Essential requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent
  • Proven experience supervising mechanical installation works within building services or construction
  • Strong working knowledge of domestic heating systems
  • Good understanding of HSEQ principles and safe systems of work
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  
Desirable experience and qualifications:
  • CSCS Supervisory or Manager card
  • Gas Safe registration
  • Experience working within social housing, public sector or large-scale commercial projects
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification
  • Experience using digital site management systems
