Senior Project Manager – Construction (Variations Focus)
Hampshire (Hybrid – 3 days on site)
£450–£500 per day (Outside IR35)

Contract Role
We’re currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong construction background and proven expertise in managing project variations to support a high-profile programme in Hampshire.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week on site, offering the opportunity to work on complex, fast-paced projects where change management and stakeholder coordination are critical.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end management of project variations, ensuring changes are assessed, documented, and delivered effectively
  • Collaborate with commercial, design, and delivery teams to evaluate scope changes, cost impacts, and timelines
  • Act as the key point of contact for stakeholders, contractors, and consultants
  • Ensure all variations are aligned with contractual obligations and minimise risk exposure
  • Drive programme performance, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards are met
  • Produce clear reporting on variation status, costs, and project impacts
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within the construction sector
  • Strong track record managing variations / change control on complex projects
  • Excellent understanding of construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT)
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate commercial discussions confidently
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Available to attend site in Hampshire 3 days per week
Desirable
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects
  • Background in working with main contractors or client-side organisations
