The Role
We're recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the on-site engineering team at Roehampton Hospital, supporting a large and technically complex healthcare environment.
This is a hands-on role working across critical electrical systems where reliability and safety are essential. You'll carry out PPM and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs to ensure the hospital remains fully operational 24/7.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance
- Fault finding on complex LV electrical systems
- Working on UPS/IPS systems and critical infrastructure
- Safe isolations and compliance with site safety procedures
- Supporting statutory testing and documentation
- Participating in the on-call rota
Requirements
Essential: - Time served apprenticeship
- NVQ Level 2 minimum (Electrical)
- City & Guilds or equivalent
- Experience in commercial/critical environments (hospital, healthcare, large estates, etc.)
- Stable work history
- Full UK driving licence & own vehicle
- DBS (existing or willing to obtain)
Desirable: - Experience in healthcare or critical facilities
- Strong attitude and willingness to learn
- Ex-forces background welcomed
Package & Benefits
- £39,000 basic salary
- £500 annual payment
- Call-out rota: 1 in 6 weeks
- £100 standby
- Minimum 4 hours per call-out
- After midnight = double time
- Saturday = time & half
- Sunday = double time
- Temp-to-perm opportunity
- Stable, long-term contract
