Electrical Engineer


The Role
We're recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the on-site engineering team at Roehampton Hospital, supporting a large and technically complex healthcare environment.

This is a hands-on role working across critical electrical systems where reliability and safety are essential. You'll carry out PPM and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs to ensure the hospital remains fully operational 24/7.
Key Responsibilities
  • Planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Fault finding on complex LV electrical systems
  • Working on UPS/IPS systems and critical infrastructure
  • Safe isolations and compliance with site safety procedures
  • Supporting statutory testing and documentation
  • Participating in the on-call rota
Requirements
Essential:
  • Time served apprenticeship
  • NVQ Level 2 minimum (Electrical)
  • City & Guilds or equivalent
  • Experience in commercial/critical environments (hospital, healthcare, large estates, etc.)
  • Stable work history
  • Full UK driving licence & own vehicle
  • DBS (existing or willing to obtain)
Desirable:
  • Experience in healthcare or critical facilities
  • Strong attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ex-forces background welcomed
Package & Benefits
  • £39,000 basic salary
  • £500 annual payment
  • Call-out rota: 1 in 6 weeks
    • £100 standby
    • Minimum 4 hours per call-out
    • After midnight = double time
    • Saturday = time & half
    • Sunday = double time
  • Temp-to-perm opportunity
  • Stable, long-term contract
