We are working with a major FM and property services provider who are looking to appoint an experienced
Quantity Surveyor with a strong pricing and commercial analysis background to support their social housing and public-sector maintenance contracts across the South of England.
This role is ideal for a QS who enjoys the
commercial “engine room” side of the business, with a strong focus on
pricing, CVR reporting, and working to Schedules of Rates across high-volume repairs and maintenance programmes.
The position offers
location flexibility across the South, with a mix of office, site, and remote working depending on project needs.
Role Overview
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate pricing, strong cost visibility, and commercial control across multiple housing maintenance and FM workstreams. Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you’ll support decision-making through robust CVR, forecasting, and margin protection.
This is a commercially focused role rather than purely site-based project QS work.
Key Responsibilities
- Pricing of works using Schedules of Rates (SoR)
- Producing and managing CVR reports, forecasts, and financial performance analysis
- Supporting commercial strategy through detailed cost and margin analysis
- Reviewing and validating job pricing, variations, and recharge mechanisms
- Supporting budget setting and financial controls across contracts
- Working with operational teams to improve cost efficiency and commercial outcomes
- Assisting with change control and client reporting
- Supporting month-end commercial processes
- Use of commercial and finance systems to manage reporting and controls
✅ Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within repairs & maintenance, FM, or housing maintenance
- Strong experience working with Schedules of Rates and high-volume pricing models
- Solid background in CVR, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Commercially analytical with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across operations and finance
- Strong Excel and commercial systems capability
