Hard Services Manager

The Role
 
  • As the Hard Services Manager, you'll manage the operational delivery of hard services across three schools, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop strong partnerships with site managers and contractors to foster a collaborative working environment focused on service excellence.
  • Drive adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting audits and ensuring legislative compliance in all operations.
  • Support the administration of hard services, leading a team of service technicians to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices in facilities management.
 


You
 
  • Essentially, a strong technical background in mechanical and electrical services, ideally with a trade qualification (City & Guilds, HNC/HND).
  • Experience in facilities management within a school environment, understanding the unique challenges and requirements.
  • Proficiency in project management and the use of tools like Excel to manage operations effectively.
  • A proactive approach with excellent communication and negotiation skills to drive improvement and compliance.
  • Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH) and experience in audit processes are highly advantageous.
